Question 1

How does money reach my bank account, and does Bean There hold funds?

Accepted Answer

Payments settle directly into your own Razorpay business account with automatic T+1 bank payouts. Bean There never touches, collects, or holds your café revenue. You maintain 100% custody of your funds and customer payment data.

Question 2

Do I need to buy expensive proprietary POS hardware or thermal printers?

Accepted Answer

None. Bean There runs in any modern browser on the devices you already own - an iPad, Android tablet, smartphone, or laptop. If you use thermal kitchen printers, Bean There connects seamlessly with standard ESC/POS Bluetooth, WiFi, and USB thermal receipt printers for instant automatic KOT printing.

Question 3

Can I use Bean There while keeping Swiggy and Zomato active?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bean There is built to protect your in-house dine-in tables, direct counter takeaway, and loyal regulars from 30% aggregator commission cuts. You can keep delivery apps active for cold discovery while converting every physical guest into a zero-commission direct customer.

Question 4

How is Bean There different from legacy POS systems like Petpooja or DotPe?

Accepted Answer

Legacy POS platforms were built 10 years ago for accounting, inventory auditing, and multi-tier manager approvals. They require weeks of staff training and cumbersome desktop software. Bean There is built specifically for modern specialty cafés: zero-lag QR ordering, an intuitive Barista KDS, and WhatsApp ordering that staff can run in under 5 minutes.

Question 5

What happens if our café Wi-Fi disconnects during a busy morning rush?

Accepted Answer

Bean There operates as an offline-first progressive web application. If connectivity blips, your Barista Kitchen Display continues showing all active tickets and pending orders. Guest QR scans queue locally and sync automatically the moment network connection restores.

Question 6

Do guests need to download an app or create an account to order?

Accepted Answer

Never. Diners simply point their camera at the table QR code. Your live menu opens instantly in Safari or Chrome. They browse, customize milk or roasts, pay via UPI, and receive order status updates without downloading an app or remembering a password.

Question 7

What is Bites XP and will it hurt our food margins?

Accepted Answer

Bites XP is a zero-liability guest loyalty engine. Unlike aggregator discount schemes (like Zomato Gold) that force deep cash discounts on your balance sheet, Bites XP awards non-monetary experience points. Diners redeem XP only for high-margin, low-cost perks you configure - such as a complimentary pastry or oat milk upgrade.

Question 8

How does the 14-day free trial work?

Accepted Answer

You get full, unrestricted access to the complete Bean There suite for 14 days - no credit card required. Set up your menu, print table QR codes, and run live dine-in orders with your baristas. If you need assistance, the founder provides direct 1-on-1 onboarding support.
