At beanthere (operated by beanthere Technologies, accessible at https://beanthere.co.in), we operate on a fundamental principle: independent merchants retain 100% ownership of their customer data. Unlike third-party delivery aggregators, beanthere never locks, monetizes, or sells customer lists to competing brands.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide high-speed table-side ordering, Kitchen Display System (KDS) synchronization, and Bites XP loyalty rewards:
- Merchant Account Data: Name, business phone number, business email, store location, GSTIN (optional), and payout account settings.
- Guest Ordering Information: Phone number or email address (provided during OTP verification or checkout), table number, ordered items, and order notes.
- Verified Community Food Moments: Dish photos, captions, and ratings submitted voluntarily by guests to earn Bites XP rewards.
- Technical Logs & Analytics: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and page interaction timestamps processed to optimize system performance.
3. How We Use Collected Data
Your data is processed strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
Order Fulfillment
Routing table-side QR orders instantly to kitchen screens (KDS) and counter printers.
Loyalty & Rewards
Calculating Bites XP points earned from verified dining visits and dish reviews.
Merchant Direct Re-Engagement
Enabling cafes to send order updates and promotional rewards directly to their guests via WhatsApp/SMS.
Security & Integrity
Detecting fraudulent orders, preventing abuse, and enforcing platform integrity.
4. Data Sharing & Infrastructure Partners
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data is shared exclusively with verified cloud infrastructure providers operating under strict security protocols:
- Supabase Cloud: Encrypted relational database hosting and authentication services.
- Razorpay / UPI Payment Gateways: PCI-DSS compliant direct payment processing.
- Google Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized website usage statistics.
5. Security & Encryption Standards
beanthere enforces SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption for all data in transit. Database access is governed by strict Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, preventing unauthorized tenant data access across store accounts.
6. Your Rights & Data Requests
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP India) and global privacy standards, you have the right to inspect, update, or request complete deletion of your personal data.
